Bones: Part I

I've had an amazing time doing the Jama Jurabaev’s mentorship: "Concept Art for movies". For it I made my own little horrorstory, about a couple of scientists who check out an emergency signal coming from a mysterious island in the arctic :) This is part 1, be sure to also check out part 2 to see how the story ends!

Once upon a time, there were three scientists working in the arctic. One day, they decide to check out a distress call from a nearby research station, so they hitch a ride on a massive icebreaker, and reach the island.

While walking over the ice towards the research station, the sun starts to come up, and they notice something strange. Tall wooden stakes, with eerie bones and skulls on them....

When they enter the village, there is nobody there. Yelena's attention is drawn to an old whaling house. She notices a strange thing dangling in the doorframe.

Outside of the village, the crew discovers a massive boneyard. It looks like the remains of whale carcasses, but they are placed in such a way it almost feels like a shrine.

Yelena walks in to the boneyard. She has a bad feeling. She looks around and notices that some of the bones almost look... human. Someone made this shrine. But who?
